Re: Vent window removal ?
Removing the whole assembly is easy. If I remember right you just have to remove the side glass and mechanism then just unscrew and unbolt the vent window assembly. Rebuilding them and assembly is a pain in the but though.

Re: Vent window removal ?
The door glass needs to come out first and then you can get the vent window assembly out. The seal in the vent window can only be replaced by taking out some of the factory rivets on the vent window. You'll have to get a rivet kit from your favorite C10 parts place. I'm in the process of rebuilding my doors right now, so I'm learning as I go as well... Good Luck!

Re: Vent window removal ?
Baloney , the vent window just needs the screws removed and the side glass rolled down . Don't make it seem like it hard to do or that it all has to come apart .

Re: Vent window removal ?
You can try it the way Grumpy suggests but in my experience I have had to at least remove the rear glass Chanel and slide the window back to gain enough clearance to maneuver the vent window assembly out. If you do leave the glass in the door be carefully on reassembly not to scratch or break the glass while reinstalling the vent assembly. Good luck.

I don't say this very often but I think Grumpy is dead wrong on this one. If you want to break something like member highwinger did go ahead and try it that way. Here is a thread on the subject. Read the whole thread, don't just skip through it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=660294 It is in the Suburbans & Panels Forum but it is the same process. There is some great info in it. LockDoc
