Concealed Power Panel in Ashtray Door
Hello folks. You've been responsive when I needed help, so I thought I'd share a recent project in case you might be interested. I don't often have a good idea but this one has worked out well for me. If you don't need a cigarette lighter, and would like to have some power ports for a GPS, cell phone charging, laptop power, etc., here's a way to provide those outlets and be able to conceal them when they're not in use. Two cigarette lighter receptacles and two USB ports, utilizing the original lighter hole, a "Z" shaped sheet metal panel, some ports/receptacles and a little time. Picture included.

If you could make that panel as a blank would give people a million options on places to hide anything,From air ride to even the key switch or push button start.

Looks nice. My XM radio controller is mounted in that spot, works well.
