Hood latch parts

I have a 57 GMC I bought as a dismantled project, which turns out to have many parts missing.

The latest issue is the hood latch mechanism.
I have the lower half that mounts on the latch panel, but not the part that goes on the hood itself. I don't even know what it looks like....

Can someone please send me a picture of upper part, and let me know where I can get one from. I can't seem to find them on LMC and Brother's etc websites.

I believe that all second series trucks 55-59 Chevy and GMC have the same latches, is that so?

The upper piece looks like this. I think there may be a slight difference between the Chevy and GMC piece, remember someone else talking about this before, but can't be sure.

You will probably have to find one in a salvage yard some where. Good Luck!!

I have found that some gmc's have a u shaped rad support, like an earlier style of truck, and some have a chevy rad support that spans the front in one section and the rad bolts directly onto this piece. not sure if the latches would be the same or not. I would take some pics of my 57 (chevy rad support style) but it is all apart right now.
