Seat Belt Install
I'm getting ready to install my new seatlbelts from Morris. Am I correct in assuming that I will need to remove the bench seat to do this? Thanks

I've only removed the re tractor belts, and that was with the seat in...3/16" head bolt and washer. I have the "luxury" of pulling everything, so the bench is coming out anyway. But, looks to me that no, you do not have to pull the seat. That is, unless your arms are shorter than 1.5'.

I just installed my Morris belts without pulling the bench. It is definitely possible. But I won't say it was easy... a bit of contortionist posturing is necessary, and it helps to have a ratchet with very fine engagement for the bolts under the seat. A U-joint socket adapter helps too. Finally, make sure you PB Blaster the heck out of the seat belt bolts under the floor of the cab before you begin - sure makes it a lot easier to thread them out without fighting them every bit of the way.

I don't know about Morris belts, but I put my GM belts in my 70 with the seat in, slid all the way forward, and the gas tank in. Like mentioned, a fine tooth ratchet will be your friend. It was not bad, as I lubed the holes and cleaned the bolt threads with a wire wheel, and then lubed the bolt threads too. Good luck, post some pics before and after the install.

Haha! Didn't even think to try sliding the seat forward. That might have helped.

I was introduced to an adjustable bench just last week. It hasn't worked since I bought it (1989)..........Very cool, only I'll be pulling the bench soon.
I couldn't seem to start my LH retract without a 13/16" wrench, which happened to be the only one I didn't have. $3 for an old thorsen combination at the local pawn shop.
