UK frame swap

Do you guys have either the Mitsubishi L200, Mazda B2500, Isuzu Rodeo, Ford Ranger or Toyota hilux over on your side of the pond? Maybe sold under a different name or the frame could be used with another body? Has anybody used one of these frames under a pre47, series1 or 2?

Re: UK frame swap

The older ones are pretty small even in comparison to an S-10 .

Unless you just don't have a decent frame it seems that Jag XJ suspension from the late 70's early 80's would be the simple way to go that wasn't too spendy there.

Re: UK frame swap

the last time this came up I posted the frame dimensions for the mazda and isuzu trucks. they are almost exactly the same width as the original frame, have the same wheelbase (a longbed mazda/isuzu has the same wheelbase as a shortbed chevy) and have an axle that is 3 inches wider than an s10, so track width should be the same as the original truck. they are also 6 lug, and with the isuzu there are disc rearends available. I have seen a couple others on different forums.

Re: UK frame swap

Looking to have modern setup with oldskool looks working within the parameters of our laws. Unmodified frame, the body has to be modified to fit the frame
