pretty complete gmc custom in a yard near me (springfield mo)

Its a 2500. Sporting the original seat cover still. Originally dark green and white. Green gauge cluster and glove box door is in it still. Hood and front fenders looked decent. Grille is a little tweaked. Seatbelts were still there. Front stabilizer bar is there too....no pics as it was late and i was hot and nasty sweaty, didnt feel like touching my phone. Think the tag said it was a 71, not sure though

Its in buddy's u pull it in springfield.

Good find! I'm not seeing too many of them in the yards up here any more....

Re: pretty complete gmc custom in a yard near me (springfield mo)

Hotter than the hinges of hell here today, too. My t-shirt was soaked all day. I knocked off early (was working on a roof) at 2. Got home and decided to run my compressor up to the tool repair guy, near Thurmont (Graceham)! I went to Loy's Station by the covered bridge and took a dip. Got home thinking I'd crawl up under my truck and it just wasn't happening. I was wore out from earlier and all I wanted to do was grab a shower, drink a beer, and make supper. I'll be up and outta here early for sure

Cool and refreshing! I looked over at Catoctin Mt, and thought about running up to the lake, then said, "Nah, too far and running water seemed to suit just fine compared to a lake. I just need to take a dunk, not swim or deal with a bunch of people (and a fee). Plus it's in the shade!

Tommy did you happen to notice whether it was an ac cab? Green interior you say? Are they parting or selling whole?

Re: pretty complete gmc custom in a yard near me (springfield mo)

Think it was an ac cab ...both door panels were there, vinyl was a little torn, but the metal backs seemed good. Steering wheel and column is gone. Dash pad is trash, but no radio cutout. Theyre parting it. Dont sell much whole there.

It must be new there as their isnt much robbed off it yet

Re: pretty complete gmc custom in a yard near me (springfield mo)

I went out to check on it today but alas it was gone? I'm ashamed to admit it was my first pick and pull experience. I had a good time- scored a resistor block for the old ladies Tahoe, some screws for the taillight and a odo/speedo gauge. Wish it would have still been there- need to find the S shaped duct for my a/c rig

I have seen a steady stream of them going through Buddy's. They get picked over quick though!

any of those emblems worth anything? Or the g.b. door? Before someone tears the rest of the stuff up.

Re: pretty complete gmc custom in a yard near me (springfield mo)

Meant to tell you it wasnt, i forgot to though Dave

That stabilizer bar under there lools real nice...except the fact they dont allow certain tools amymore, so id have to drill out the rivets or hammer and chisel them....sounds like aprocess i dont want to get involved in in 90 degree heat with 700% humidity
