Question Seam sealer or bonding?

I'm wondering what will be best for the two spots I found on the 1953 cab we are working on?
Top of the cab has small hole in the rain gutter .

The cab under the window looks like it could let water seep in but not badly rusted no pitting or blisters yet.

First you'll need to remove all paint and rust from the afflicted areas.
Then you (and us) will have a definite solution.

Welding or seam sealer solutions will require that you take this prep step regardless.

not being a body guy,from what I see rust is not to bad.I have used POR-15 as a seam sealer,I used it on the inside,it is not made to be used on areas that need to be smooth,when it gets hard it is very difficult to sand.but the rust needs to be addressed,I would weld rain gutters

fortunately or otherwise, I've used both. Bondo is best for forming or making a better shape, so you can use that as well. but if you have a hole, I'd suggest sanding down, weld in the hole, then sand/grind down. then use your bondo to form the body back to the shape you want sand and paint. depending upon how bad the underside is, sand it, bondo, form, sand and paint. my thoughts.

Sand blast, then epoxy primer then 2k seam sealer is how I would do it. As far as the hole, if it's down in the gutter at the bottom, it is likely fine to be left there and then seam sealed after sand blasting and epoxy primer. It really depends on your skills and the access to the hole. If you can weld it up then of course that's the best way. Then of course you want to do the same thing inside with epoxy primer. If you can't spray it in there you could brush it.

Thanks for the info so everyone. . Wire wheel to kick out the rest of what in the crease??
Not much rust in there but lines of separated sealer is what it looks like. The truck is root beer brown and looks like all rust in the pics. There's rust for sure though. I have about no body work knowledge. But I got a book and some tools. An old set of Grandpa's body hammers and time. Ha ha ha

seam sealer for the win.

you get a 15min work time.... 4-6 days to totally set and its paintable

Seam sealer is so easy to use, and you can wipe it out and try again if you don't get it perfect the first time. Paintable, flexible and lasts the life of the car, it's really hard to beat for filling stuff like that.

Wire wheeling all day. It doesn't look that bad. It's bondo in the crack and some surface rust I think.

This is the top of the cab. It looks like a drain to me but I don't know why there would be one there. It would be hard to weld it in the little space but I may try it.

Unlike bondo which will hold moister
seam sealer is more of a sealer and is workable like bondo but once set you cant really sand it
pread it on smooth it out let it set and move on
and when dries it has minimal flex and can be painted
it's really wonderful stuff
it's like a 20yr durability.
that's way longer then I'll be around
well maybe not in Arizona but real word application
