I'm in the market for a gear shift lever for a non-tilt automatic column. Someone had offered a shift lever for a tilt auto. Are they interchangeable? I've done a search and after 35 pages, I came up with no info.

Also, is there a difference between the shift indicator lense in any of the years? Gonna attach a 4L60E if that helps.

Yes, there is a difference in the indicators size wise by year and also if they are tilt or non-tilt. As far as the shift levers, I think that they are different also between tilt and non-tilt. Oh yeah, I also saw an indicator lens that had OD on it for a overdrive transmission. I saw it at a swapmeet the guy had it in his 72' with a 4L80E transmission. I also saw another one in a magazine somewhere that was a parts dealer and they had them, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was in or the name of the dealer. Maybe someone else has them or someone on the board has seen them.

Also I would like to know if anyone has the plastic bushing that goes on the bottom of the shift lever on a tilt automatic?

thanks for the info on the overdrive lense. Also, someone wanted to know if a 3 speed lever would work also?

I don't know about the 3 speed lever, but I am pretty sure I have a non-tilt stock auto shifter sitting in my basement. (I should have 2 actually)
