Re: 76 Chevy wood floor bed
I know they were factory, but I don't know much about value on them.

Re: 76 Chevy wood floor bed
It was factory and early in this body style.Worth depends some like it some don't and being a long bed is the most common bed.

Re: 76 Chevy wood floor bed
Since he is a friend and you don't seem to be using it, also no tailgate. If it was me in this same situation it would be free or tops 100 bucks.

Re: 76 Chevy wood floor bed
If you don't have any plans for it and it is taking up space in your yard/garage, count this as a good opportunity to have someone else help you clean up your space.
Does your friend have anything you need that might be worth a trade? Maybe you both can get rid of unused stuff. If the merchant side wins out, call a local salvage yard and get a price check on a bed minus tailgate. |

Re: 76 Chevy wood floor bed
I'd say it's worth as much as a steel floor bed in same condition, even with wood rotted. With good wood I'd say twice as much. These are fairly rare and super cool to be that guy with a wood floor in a square body Fleetside. Who you sell it to and how you handle it is your business.
