Choke Trouble

I'm having some problems with my choke. Here is what happened:

I went to Ceres (20 min. away from here) to go to my job (second one). I couldn't figure it out but my truck felt "funny". Something wasn't right. When I got into town off the freeway, my choke was on! It was at temp when I left! It sucked up alot of gas too. When I got there I shut of the engine and it started dieseling. WTF??? So I hit the starter again and killed it in drive. Stopped fine now. Took off the aircleaner to see if the idle stop solenoid was malfunctioning and it is fine. If I pull out the choke fuse, the choke turns off and the truck runs fine.

So what do you guys think? I could give it some gas and rev it a couple times and it would take the choke off, but next time I touched it, it would turn back on. How are the chokes hooked up on these electronic carbs? Could it be a temp sensor somewhere? Oil pressure switch? I'm stumped. This needs to be fixed soon too. HELP!

137,000 miles on the carb too??

Chokes have a heater in them that keep them from working all the time.
Something might be sticking inside your choke or the heater could be screwed.

137,000 miles on the carb too??

Yup. Maybe the carb is the reason I only get 9 mpg? Actually I KNOW it is. Carbs works fine still. NEVER TUNED! Never rebuilt. But then again 9mpg... Actually I hit 138,000 today.

The choke is on whenever the key is on......
The heater just turns it off (or keeps it from coming on)
If the engine is cold when you put that fuse in it will come on 'cause the heater hasn't had time to heat up and turn it off.
