I hate both, rust sucks and mice eat wires and seats.

Mice eat your wires, pee behind your dash, crap in your gauges, then die and stink up your cab. At least you can cut the rust out.

Depends on what they're eatin'! LOL!

If it's a "barn fresh" project truck, then I'd say rust is the worst to contend with.

If the mice have somehow found their way into your finished truck, then I'd say...............throw the cat in there for a few days! LOL!

Really, though, mice can do alot of damage, and not just to wiring.

If they are allowed to nest for very long, they can cause rust in the hardest to reach places.
I can't count how many of these trucks that I've pulled out of mouse havens, and the worst possible place they can nest is in the space between the inner and outer roof skin, just above the windshield! That, and in the floor vents/cowl area. Mice use just about anything they can to build a nest, and what is usually handiest is seat padding! Mix that with a little mouse piss, and condensation...........soon, you have big gaping holes where there used to be a truck! If ya live in the country, and have old trucks that sit idle for any length of time, ya need alot of hungry cats!

I hear ya on the hungry cats, I have 3 of them in my barn and I just feed them enough to keep them around. Too bad I can't get my dog to eat mice.......the cat's have been doing their business on the ceiling above the shop!!!

Mouse-modified wiring can cost you the whole truck if it burns. . . .

Just be careful about cats sleeping on the warm motors: I woke one kitty up one cold morning by slicing its left hind-quarter almost completely off with the fan. Then I had to don an old coat and gloves, let the screaming cat latch onto my arm for a trip to the woods, and put it out of its misery.
