Adding a return to my PS pump
I am finishing up an install of a hydroboost. I currently have the T in the return line. I'd like to add a return to the PS reservoir. What is the best way to do that. I also saw an PS pump with 2 returns but I'm not sure it will work. Suggestions?

Re: Adding a return to my PS pump
I'm sure mine must have just been T'd but the two-return pump reservoir would likely be better. I know I didn't have any fancy pump or parts.
Even better would be a T fitting before a cooler that then returned to the reservoir, but I doubt you'll be autocrossing or anything demanding....

Re: Adding a return to my PS pump
I use the tee'd line on mine.
But,if you think about it,there's only the one hose leaving the pump, just like the standard power steering without hydroboost,so why do you need 2 seperate returns into the pump? I also bought a hydroboost pump (was cheaper than the regular pump!),tried to mount it,but it's clocked different and won't fit my bracket. All this is on my 82,C-30,with 350 engine. Mike. |

Re: Adding a return to my PS pump
I run a T'd fitting on my return line too. Never any issues with starving the pump with this setup.
