My first blazer!!
Hey guys! Im over from the 67-72 side as I've got a new project and I know this board is awesome for help etc. I bought the blazer last weekend and its titled as an 81 with a matching vin number but has a 91 front end and the tbi 350..... Wont really matter as I plan to ls swap it anyhow.. Ill throw up a couple of pictures as it sits now and post progress throughout. I have a ton of questions as the square body platform is new to me..

Re: My first blazer!!
Im currently trying to figure out the power window situation as the connectors for the switches have seen better days. Anybody know where to get replacement connectors? Putting new motors in the doors as well. The gate works well but i need to clean up the latch area where the safety switch is as it doesnt always make a good connection.

Re: My first blazer!!
Plans for this thing ( to be named later) include new paint and body, including a color change and the top to either be body color or white. Shave off the trim and emblems, New wheels and tires, bumpers, smaller mirrors, and redo all the upholstery. And a 5.3 ls with a 4l60 swap.

Re: My first blazer!!
I believe LMC carries the switch connectors and use A.C. Delco motors if you can I didn't on one door of my old 87 because they weren't in stock and my window was down in the winter when it quit but it was slower than the original in the other door. I have heard allot of people say to bypass that switch cause it causes problems and on mine it was stuck on so it didn't even do its job also lube all the tracks and mechanisms while your in there as these gates do get hard to open over time if they aren't kept lubricated

Re: My first blazer!!
Welcome! Did you price the window motors with new regulators? They're probably not much more for the whole assembly and the motors will work better with the new wheels. Classic Parts has new switches and connectors. And member gmachinz makes and sells wiring harnesses for the windows with the 'express down' feature if you like.

Re: My first blazer!!
another question..... The rear seat has 3 seat belts, the middle seat obviously is pretty self explanatory as both ends are there, however the buckles on the side belts I'm confused by. They retract and extend from the seat however i can't figure out where they buckle to... What am I missing??

Re: My first blazer!!
What do you mean? as far as the rear... Its just a switch so ill hide one somewhere. Theres still the one in the dash. Thinking ill do an alarm with keyless entry and have it hooked up to the remote to lower and raise.....
