Turn Signal
Has anyone had a problem with there turn signal were the left side works fine and the right side don't work. turn signal light light is very dim in the dash for the right side but want flash. changed out the turn signal switch a couple weeks ago and had good turn signal at that time. but now right side want work can anyone guide me in the right direction as to what maybe wrong the only thing I did other than the turn signal switch change out is ground the right side back light to the bumper bracket I did not ground the left side because it's working fine after I ground the right side.

I would run a ground strap from the engine to the frame, the frame to the cab, and the frame to the bed. Make sure you have bright metal where they attach. Also, did you remove the bulb to see if the inside of the socket is corroded? LockDoc

Re: Turn Signal
OK I ran all the grounds as you explain and now I do have turn signal as long as I have the engine running. however if the engine is not running the turn signal only work on the left side which is OK because I only need turn signal when I am driving so I would say problem fixed
Thanks on to the next problem |

Re: Turn Signal
If one side performs differently than the other, there's a wiring issue on that side. Typically a ground problem since they're magic.

Re: Turn Signal
Yes wiring is a problem with this truck don't know were to begin to tell you all the stuff I have done on it with the wires some one cut into like all of wires all the wiring harness are all cut and twist together with no tape I replace the turn signal harness because it was hacked up the dash bezel harness was hacked up I just want to get going and little later I'm going to rewire the hole truck with a new harness hopefully it don't catch a fire before I make the change over it's working right now so I am going to leave it like it is.
Thanks for all your help |
