Re: new engine mount q's.

My new mounts were threaded for metric in that center hole.

I went back to the auto parts store to check that out with a 10mms since I had none.. with a new mount they had there but the 10mms did not fit. And the 3/8 did.. I had no tools.. people stated this in the other threads as well about the metric difference...can of lam since I just installed it.. just to pull it out..

I'm pretty sure that hole is not 3/8-16, it's 7/16-14

Did you chase the threads in the mount before installing them? Mine were full of rubber flash.

Re: new engine mount q's.

Thanks guys. I took it out first thing this morning. And tryed tightening it with it out with the 3/8 but it bottom and kept spinning... so I chased it out with a 7/16 tap and ran a 7/16 bolt and it got tight. Problem fixed...engine mounts installed now with 7/16 bolt.. I did tap with a 3/8 tap before I installed it the frist time. And I did try a 7/16 bolt but the bolt didn't want to go in.. o well got fix that's all I care about.. thanks for the help..

Re: new engine mount q's.

In case others hit this, I too wound up with reproduction mounts that had too-long, metric center bolts. Had to cut them down so they didn't punch into my block, and no idea why they're metric, but...
