72 C10 dash ground
I recently purchased my 72 C10 and decided to fix some of the more interesting changes previous owner did. They installed a toggle switch for the wiper switch. Ordered new switch pulled everything out and thought everything looked good. Put it back together and as soon as I turn key wipers came on and wouldn't stop.
After pulling switch back out and checking everything I found out the ground wire that was installed to back of oil gauge cover was causing the issue. Disconnect the wire and wiper switch works......BUT with it disconnected now the fuel gauge doesn't it goes work off scale low, high beam light is on when headlights lights are off, turn indicators don't work in dash But blinkers do work. It appears ground is needed but I thought it was suppose to come through board. I was thinking to replace circuit board, but I am still confused why wipers won't turn off with ground as switch is case grounded normally. Will missing ground cause other issues? Should I look for another issue for running with ground wire applied? Any help is welcome I learned a lot from other posts I figured this would be easy for someone.

Re: 72 C10 dash ground
Thanks LockDoc for the picture. I don't have a wire going to the edge and clip. The wire I have is an add on, it goes from under a steering column clamp and was ran to the 1/4 screw holding the cover in place behind the oil pressure gauge.
Where does the correct ground connect to?
