3/4 ton stock wheel size?

I am looking at a 72 3/4 ton truck that still has split rims on it and am wondering what size of steel wheel I should be looking for in order to replace them? I want just the stock look, with say a 235/85 tire and want to be able to mount the stock dog dish hubcaps. I guess what I'm asking is what is the stock wheel size? Any help is appreciated!

Re: 3/4 ton stock wheel size?

My 70 C20 came with 16.5 rims (not sure of the width) and a tire size of 9.50 16.5 I have changed them out to a 16" rim as the 16.5 rims are not the safest if you loose tire pressure. Something about the angle of the bead that in the event of a pressure loss the tire will come off the rim much easier than the newer rims.

Re: 3/4 ton stock wheel size?

A lot of guys replace them with Ford E250 wheels. There is a few threads out there that will give you the accuride part number if you go new.
Etrailer.com has new ones also, should be plenty in the bone yards.
And they'll accept our hubcaps too.

Re: 3/4 ton stock wheel size?

These are 16x6.5 off of an '88 Suburban 3/4 ton wrapped with 245/75R16 tires. Using the hubcaps until I can get the correct ones for my '72
