Pressure washed the frame yesterday. How grease free does the frame have to be before I apply the POR 15? Has anyone had any trouble with it flaking off after using it? Any input would be nice. Thanks, Jeff.

it has to be completely grease-free not semi-grease-free

Did you use anything to take it off? Alcohol, simple green or just wipe it with a rag and thats good enough? Thanks, Jeff.

POR sells a "Marine Clean" which is an excellent degreaser which they reccomend to get ALL the grease off. [
That said, Yes, You must have ALL of the grease off for it to stick properly. ALL OF IT!

You've got to get all the grease off the frame.
I used about 6 cans of EasyOff oven cleaner on my frame, hosed it off, then scrubbed it down good with a wire brush and soap and water, then used the Marine Clean. Only then was it clean enough for the POR-15. SC
