Any tips for removing a good old 5.7 350?
Hey everyone!
I'm headed down to my parts truck this weekend, and I am planning on pulling both the engine and transmission, any tips you guys have for me? I will have wrenches, sockets, axle stands, and a 8 ton engine lift with me... Anything else I might need?

if you're doing all the drinking, might as well take along some smoke too. i prefer Marlboro Lights.
seriously, a good set of wrenches, sockets, an assortment of screwdrivers, you should be all set. dont forget to drain the trans or plug the tailshaft, if you dont, it will drain itself. |

Aside from the obvious that everybody has already mentioned (beer) I would add a hydraulic jack and a couple of pry bars of various size. I have never pulled an engine or trans that didn't need a little prodding here or there.
