tailgate hardware

Hello,

Piecing together a 65 C10. Got a tailgate from a 63 C10. Need to make sure I will purchase the correct things to use it.

Also, to mount this would I bolt one side up and then hang the gate by the chains then hook to the one side and bolt the last side?

a 7/16 bolt and a big hammer and it fell out. five pretty hard swings.
