Hello from Amsterdam ny! From me and my 69 c10
Hello all my name is Kevin i own a 69 c10 long bed. i recently purchased it and have found myself frequenting this forum so i decided to come aboard. I'm looking into lowering kits/air ride on a budget and disc brake conversion for 6 lug wheels. i bought the truck for a very cheap $800 and it has a 290hp crate 350 thats less than two years old and a bunch of other new parts. The truck runs and drives great but the body is rusty and has a lot of patina which i love about it. i plan to fix the structural rust on the body parts and transfer the body to a rust free virginia frame i purchased locally in ny for $375. but before then id like to lower and update the chassis by stiffening it and c notching it and also adding sway bars and disc brakes. to make the driving experience more modern while retaining a tight budget and rat rod-esk theme of the body. i appreciate the time to introduce myself and hope i can source some good parts from this site as i already sourced good knowledge through this page. So I'm on the lookout for front and rear sway bar kits, lowering kits either static coil springs shocks spindles or air ride on a budget, and a front disc brake conversion for 6 lug wheels. thanks in advance, Kevin
