Re: Smooth front bumper

I tried one...inner bolt locating tabs did not line up with my brackets. Didn't want to buy new brackets or possibly screw it up by trying to make it fit, so I took it back. Bought mine from Ecklers.

I was a little afraid of that. Did you try loosening the brackets on both sides?

Re: Smooth front bumper

We have sold quite a few of them, with no disappointments. It is important that your loosen the bumper brackets and fit them up with the bumper before tightening up everything. https://cooperrestorations.com/produ...dden-hardware/

They look great and are excellent quality.

I don't recall completely, but that may have been the issue. It just seemed that they were way off. I may have been in to big a hurry.

Re: Smooth front bumper

Can the smooth rear bumper be used with a hidden hitch (behind the license plate)?

Re: Smooth front bumper

I don't like the smoth rear one. Like the front, they didn't just make it smooth, they changed it. On the front they eliminated the tag mount area, which is great in a rear tag-only state, and the rear tag area is not cut out. It's just indented with no tag light provision. Eliminating the bolt heads is a nice custom touch, but changing the design turns me away

I agree Tim, here in California they use the front plate missing issue as an excuse to pull you over. I would like the smooth bumper with a front plate mount. It might keep me out of trouble....lol

Re: Smooth front bumper

I put one on mine, went on easy, fits great. I like the "no plate".
