Going to go look at a project truck question

I am hopefully going to look at a project truck once weather warms up

1970 shortbox stepside out of Wyoming the owner is saying it has leaf springs rather than trailing arms in the rear ....... Is this fo real?

he swears its a 2 wheel drive SWB frame and original any thoughts ?

Yes----- I have seen some with leaf springs. I am currently working on a deal to purchase a 1972 Chevy den that also has leaf springs. I have read good and bad on these but I'm not looking for a race truck so I'll be fine

Could have either. Gmc usually had leaf springs.

If it's a chevy with rear leaf springs it should be listed on the spid (mine has "G70 R SUSP-Leaf Spring" but it's a long bed)

Second line in right half of SPID

GMC wore leafs with optional coils and Chevy was same except for backwards
