Running alternator wire into cab
I need to run my brown alternator wire into the cab and hook it up to my new wiring harness. I'm thinking of running it on the right side of the right valve cover. Is there anything I can put on the wire to keep it from melting besides wire loom.
Thanks, Ramiro |

Re: Running alternator wire into cab
Here's how I ran mine.
I re-clocked the alternator so the plug-in was down. Then I ran the brown, red, and large red wires, down by the fuel pump, and across the front cross member. Under the radiator. To the main junction below the left headlight, and back on the left frame rail to the firewall block, then into the cab. I just used the plastic loom you can buy anywhere, and clamped it away from heat or moving parts. These aren't the finished wiring but they show how I routed the alternator wires.
