70 K10 heater resistor
Blower working erratically, (replaced switch a couple yrs. ago) so decided to replace motor, fan, and resistor (all 3 original). New resistor was broken? when it arrived (white strip that links 2 springs was split in two) I guessed 1 drop of glue would have fixed it but not being sure I decided to let LMC send a new one. Anybody know if it was fixable? thanks

Re: 70 K10 heater resistor
Sorry, instead of springs I should have called them coils...a large and a small one (white strip is split between them). May not affect operation at all, just dont know. thanks again Mav

As long as the continuity of the wire isn't affected and the coils aren't distorted or touching each other, I don't know why it couldn't be epoxied back together.... LockDoc

Re: 70 K10 heater resistor
I agree. Unless the coils are loose enough that they can touch the only thing that matters is the continuity of the coils.

Yeah, just attempted to glue it, white stuff is so fragile one end of it broke off just trying to push halves together, (its almost like chalk) anyway now the coils do touch, thats the purpose of the chalky strip, oh well new one is on its way and I learned something! Thanks for replies, Mav
