turbo LS build

Ok my question is has anyone here turboed there LS swapped c10?
When I did my LS swap I added the sure fit vintage air setup. Now I'm looking to add boost and I'm having a hard time deciding how to run my piping and where to place my intercooler. My a/c compressor is mounted on the top passenger side of my motor and the condenser is in the way of mounting my intercooler center of my core support. if anyone has done this setup please share pics and info.

Re: turbo LS build

The intercooler mounting is simple enough. Make some brackets that attach to the core support that the intercooler then bolts to. Some 1" steel tube and 1/8 plate should do it.

Pipe routing for the usual passenger side turbo mounting is trickier with the compressor up top. Post some pics of your engine bay? Maybe you can get the downpipe out under the compressor or run on top of the inner fender until it's past the compressor.

There's a few turbo setups on the board here. There's 2 search function up at the top of the page. I prefer the one right below your user name instead of the grey box one. The grey box lists the results like a google search, I prefer the other that uses the forum software search feature and the layout it produces. Just type turbo in either and browse the results for ideas. Searching "turbo c10" on youtube will get you some results too.

Here's my set up. It's running now just haven't really stomped on it. I'm waiting for my catch can to show up. Long story but when it was getting tuned the valve cover breather was leaking oil everywhere when it hit boost. In the middle of fixing it so I can really get on it. I'll get you better pictures today of the intercooler and piping.

Re: turbo LS build

Sorry I mean the dryer is in my way. The only thing I can think of is making new lines and relocate it. I have done a lot of google searches and everything I have found are none a/c trucks.

Re: turbo LS build

I've been waiting for someone to try a hotside kit for a 5.3 truck. Looking at routing I think it would be close.
