Question Bulbs

Ok.. I went to Autozone last night and tried to get bulbs for the dome light and the cargo light. They did not have a reference book, and their computer did not list either bulb.

I have a '77 C20 Silverado.

Anyone know these 2 bulbs? I tried a dome light that looked like it would fit, but all it did was get hot, no light, and a little bit of smoke before I pulled it out again.

I tried an 1157 bulb in the cargo light, but the little prongs on the sides of the bulb shaft were not correct, so I couldn't get the bulb to rotate into the socket correctly.

Thanks!

if you dont have the woners manual ( it should have the bulbs in there) then check out the Haynes or Chiltons Manual they have listings in there in autozone

Thanks,

I picked up a Haynes last night. Will look tonight. I didn't see them in the owner's manual. I'll double check that tonight as well.

Thanks again,

The dome light is #211-2. Just go to your local GM parts place and they'll have them. I think I paid $2 for one a couple of years ago.
