This is a continuation of this thread, from Part III. That thread has gotten huge so as we have done in the past, we'll start a new one. Let's keep this going.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I did this over the weekend but I finally got the 4 wheel disc brakes done and the new system bled! Ordered a PS pump bracket from Summit, so I can finish up the PS conversion. Slowly getting my panel going, since I have had it 5 years and never driven it.
Here's a pic, since everyone likes pics.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I upgraded to power disc brakes using mid 70's ball joints, spindles and power brake booster/master. Stops real nice now. It is funny how I still pump on the pedal when stopping..

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Got the new Champion Radiator in and a few more little things like trans cooler lines, trans vacuum line, choke cable, replaced chrome water filler neck with black one, and got a repop battery hold down and dome light from Classic Parts.

Hope to pull this a block or so down the street to my house and turn my love of my '71 GMC into the start of a fleet!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Installed original refurbished radiator and new water pump. Then took the Mrs out to dinner for a test ride.
I have had the truck three years now and with that job complete - everything under the hood has been replaced with the exception of the motor itself. I can't wait for the road salting to end so it can be returned to daily driver status.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Pumped the gas pedal twice, pulled out the choke, started it up and drove to work. Tried out my zip tie based, experimental Mexican blanket seat cover attachment system. So far, so good.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Installed Captainfab's Power steering conversion into my 62, and began the process of shortening the frame for a 7' bed. 8"/4" cut.

I picked up a couple 3rd row seats from a Tahoe. I will figure out which one I want to use as a back seat in my Panel truck...
