My C10 Build
Hello, Finally got going on this project in the last year. It`s a 70 C10 on
a 86 Monte Carlo chassis. Everything I have been doing has been going real slow, but I`m starting to see a glimmer of the finish line on the fab work that had to be done. This thing should handle like its on rails when finished. Here`s some pictures Bill |

Re: My C10 Build
Here`s what`s left of the 8 ft. bed I started with I took out 18" from in front
of wheels and 10" from behind the wheels. had to cut out all bed in between wheel wells to clear suspension. Last edited by 7DShortBed; 02-28-2017 at 10:35 AM. Reason: lost attachments |

Re: My C10 Build
So you're shortening the body (bed) to fit the cars wheel base. I was curious what your plan was.

Re: My C10 Build
Yes, I had to shorten the bed between the cab and the rear wheels 18"
then I took 10" out of the back so now the bed is equal length on both sides of the wheel well. Bill |

Re: My C10 Build
I wondered. The math puts the ElCamino/SW frame within 2" of the SWB truck wheelbase. I couldn't see where you might have extended the MCSS frame.

Re: My C10 Build
Making a little progress. Got the wheel tubes widened and covered the rear
suspension. |

Re: My C10 Build
Just finished up my front roll pan. It was a 2 piece I got off EBay. Had to do a
little customizing to make it work. Didn`t come out too bad. |
