Re: refinished bed wood

man of war spar marine varnish 3 coats. didn't use sealer this time . I did last time . I have slots in the bottom of the wood to prevent cracking. The boards have very minor cracks. my dad made me these boards. Since he past away they will stay. I also use nylon nuts to prevent nuts from rattling loose. stainless on top carbon under neath.

Re: refinished bed wood

Nice. How did you fasten those angle strips to the bedsides?

Re: refinished bed wood

Put the stainless piece over the factory . Difficult to remove the factory one without damaging the paint. Good point on what to attach if removed .Cant see old piece when the chrome one is installed.

Re: refinished bed wood

I built the exhaust system 20 years ago . I don't own a bender. I certianly know how to weld (retired boilermaker tubewelder) .currently Replacing the exhaust from the headers to the flowmasters . I have access to a bender these days.
