GMC JIMMY estimated worth...

I think it's a 72? GMC Jimmy 4x4 I found for sale it has no price listed just says "Make Offer".

What I was wondering is if I could get sum of you to give me your opinion as to how much u would offer or that I should offer for it.

Condition: 350 Engine, 350 Auto Trans, 205? Transfer all there just don't run (sitin for 10+ years?) It's a Custom Jimmy so it has two bucket seats and bench in back (definitely need to be recovered) has black hard top (will need work as well) It has open Knuckle Disc Front hubs. But one of the biggest things is there is not a straight panel...well lets just say if you've seen Gee Emm's Jimmy it's like that but maybe worse?? So a body swap if it to be considered a project vehicle.

I'm thinking even if it is too far gone to be a project it would be worth saving for the parts and chassis etc. for a decent price, yes?

Ive paid as little as $400 for a 72 Blazer and as much as... $?????, Im afraid to say. I woulod not be too shy to low ball anyone if the truck needs alot of work. If the truck is clean, Ask what the seller thinks would be a fair price and then go from there. I was asking $8500 for my 72 3/4 4x4 a few months back , yet I sold to a board member for $5k. I basically sold it for what I had in it and went on to other things. I had to have a real Cheyenne and it was a Custom 20. I would have never been happy. Now I have a Cheyenne and a Cheyenne Super BB.. Im happy as hell!

hey! someone stole Gee_Emm's Jimmy, painted it blue, and converted it to 4 wheel drive! :p just messin

it looks like that Jimmy has zero good sheetmetal on it, and also the top appears to be damaged if not already toast. but then again a body swap would fix all that...

if I were you, I would nab it (but I wouldn't pay more than a couple hundred for it). if it runs and drives, that is. would make a great winter beater. or project. or parts source.

It kinda depends on what kind of shape the chassis is in. As a vehicle/project maybe work $200-300, but if the 4x4 chassis is in good shape and the engine runs good after you get it started, it might be worth as much as $1000, just depends on how bad you want to save it......

Well I talked to a guy today and it didn't sound promising...he said it's actually his brother-in-laws truck and that he has changed his mind and has decided that he wants to strip the body and turn it into a "Mud Machine"...

Oh well I tried...I left them my number if they should change their minds...again...

You might want to call back and make an offer, you never know, the guy might need money or something. I learned the wait and see lesson awhile back with a decent 68 442 owned by my neighbor. I saw it in the weeds, inquired about it, he told me what was wrong with it ( needed wiring harness ) and he was going to fix it up someday (yeah right!)......I told him to give me a call if he decided to sell it or if he wanted to buy a good wiring harness.......I saw it riding on a trailer past my place 2 weeks ago!!.........It sold for $500, I was going to offer $800.

I'd say less than $500 US....it can be saved though! Just make sure the frame is still OK
