We are repainting a buddies truck. It's an 84 and on the tailgate below the trim panel, is the small chrome trim that matches the side trim but it is metal. We're looking for one in fairly good condition.

My 34k mile 1985 has a metal tailgate molding, but it's the one with the black center

Truthfully I have never realized that they did a metal one. This truck is a true 40k 1984 K10. The previous owner had all kinds of outer space stuff painted on the doors and tailgate, main reason for the re-paint.

I have the metal tailgate trim on my 87. i do remember when we restored the truck 15 years ago everybody thought that piece on the gate was just part of the roll of side trim. nobody knew it was metal.

I lucked out and my bed came with a good piece. I've been out of the 81+ stuff since I'm focusing on a 79 for my dad now, but last i knew nobody repopped that piece

I have a near perfect one. It has no dents dings or scratches just could use a polish. would take 200.00 for it 405-872-3399

Those are definitely hard to find. I have one that is nearly flawless mysef-just have to figure out what type of adhesive tabs to use on it-NOS ones had them on but Im sure they arent available seperately.
