NV4500=Crap???
I asked this on the 67-72 board since that's what I'm planning on doing the conversion for, but I'd like your guys opinions too.

NV4500's are not crap. I drive mine very hard. The problem with the 5th gear retainer nut was fixed in '95. Also, so many people put the wrong lube in there trannies and it wrecks them. They have graphite parts in them that can be damaged by improper gear lube. I made the mistake of letting one of those quick lube places replace the oil in my tranny with their brand (penzoil) and ever since then its sounded like it had marbles running loose in it. That is the input shaft bearing making all that noise.

Yeah well its time to replace the clutch anyway, so I'm doing the input bearing too. Actually the GM stuff is just Castrol in a GM bottle, same stuff.
