Wire size info needed
Can anyone tell me what size the wire is that goes from the ignition to the neutral safety switch? PO removed the wire even though the switch works fine and as I am about to order a load of cable to make a rear light wiring harness I thought I may as well get some to wire it back in. In mm would be best but I can cope with AWG as I have a link to a convertor somewhere.
My current rear loom is just completely brittle and has been chopped into pieces for trailer wiring and to convert the backup lights into UK spec turn signals, standard new loom won't accomodate these changes so I'm gonna make one up. I've been under it time and time again repairing splicing new bits in etc so I'm gonna do it properly this time.

I make it out to be purple 12 gauge which is roughly equivalent to 2mm cable. I'm using modern thinwall cable which has a much higher amperage rating than the original type anyway so looks like a length of 2mm will be more than adequate

In the UK, they are no aloud to have any red lights blink. So all turn signals must be amber.
He took the wires from the turn signal switch and ran them to the back up lighs, but placed amber bulbs in them. |

Yup, exactly right, illegal in the UK to have flashing red lights as turn signals, only cops are allowed to have flashing red lights on their cars!
