Fender differences

I am thinking about changing the front sheet metal on my 72 2wd Blazer over to the 67 style. I know the hood, radiator support and hood latch are different. The question is other than the marker lights are the fenders and inner fender wells the same.

If I'm not mistaken, there is another difference. The front end of the fender where the grille mounts is different on the 68 than 69-72.

67 has no side marker cutouts, and the front edge that accepts the corner trim piece for the grille.

68 has the same front edge shape as the 67, but has a marker light.

69-72 has the same marker light as a 68, but a different front edge that accepts the 1-piece grille on 69-72's.

I don't have a picture of the difference, but it's my understanding that 69-72's are interchangeable, but for a 67 or 68, you need that year fender. As far as chevrolet / GMC differences, I couldn't tell you.....

Inner fenders are the same.

Save yourself the headaches: buy a whole front clip and swap straight across.

I've wondered the same thing. Even if the whole front clip were purchased, would the whole front end have to be changed?

Yeah, pretty much the whole front clip would need to be swapped.
