Re: 72 k5

If that's the only rust, $7K IMO would be an OK number. Check that windshield frame !! The A pillar gap tells me that it's not in bad shape.

Went and looked at it closer today. There's the same rocker panel rust on the passenger side as well. With a touch on the bottom corner bedside... Appears there's a small amount on the driver side floor pan near the rocker. Windshield frame is in awesome shape.

7k would be a fair price.

Re: 72 k5

If guys are willing to pay $7k for that, then I know a few other rust buckets I should send back east lol Worth half that in my area with that rust, the Blazers hide rust well. Once you strip that one done there'll be lots to do.

I'd like to see pictures of these Blazers you speak of going for $3500 that are in the same condition.

Re: 72 k5

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/6133265215.html Here's a reasonably priced one. Lots of rust bucket projects for sale for $4-6k right now out here, but non of them have sold lol They aren't worth the asking price out here when you can buy a restored K5 for $20k consistently. Buy a $7k rust bucket and it costs more to restore than buying one done, just isn't smart math.

Re: 72 k5

How are the rocker boxes and associated parts under the truck? All k5s have bad rockers...as long as the rust didnt spread past that. May have missed it but is the bed floor good? I would like to know where to but a restored k5 for 20,000????

Here's an older restored 2wd K5 for $19,500..... https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/6149144995.html

$22.5 https://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/6132949551.html

$25k 2wd https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/cto/6146099260.html

Older resto $19k https://oregoncoast.craigslist.org/cto/6158933997.html

Most of these could probably go $5k cheaper or more maybe....

Re: 72 k5

you never said what the seller was asking??

I would be happier with that truck at somewhere in the 4-5k range, but i am in Cali. I got my K5 for a STEAL 3 or so years ago, I was in the right place at the right time and it wasn't advertised... but knowing what the seller is sniffing for helps. if he is asking 6, and your willing to pay it, show up with 5k cash?
