LMC Truck sale, do they ever offer them?

Hi guys,

I'm looking a purchasing quite a bit of goods from LMC, and was wondering if they have sales events or discounts beyond their shipping discount at $1000.00

The 4th is coming up, and was thinking of waiting until then to see if they were going to have one.

Anyone know their prior sales history to give me a clue on this one?

If I were you, I would go see kevin at bowtie truck stop. He will probably be at the fairgrounds tomorrow. No shipping...

Sounds like you really want LMC, but sure wouldn't be my first choice...

Nope not partial to anyone, love their catalog. looks like Classic Industries has a promo ending tomorrow PRT17. Up to 25% off, not sure what that really means.

Re: LMC Truck sale, do they ever offer them?

After purchasing parts from several vendors, LMC comes in around last place in terms of quality and price. There's better vendors out there. Even The Truck Shop beats them in price and quality for most stuff. I prefer GMCPauls and Classic Heartbeat for most quality parts though.

I like LMC and Brothers. that said I might go somewhere else for my windshield seals I just don't remember the name right now. Starts with a "P" I'm pretty sure.

Re: LMC Truck sale, do they ever offer them?

I have a local guy that parts out 67-72 and I've probably spent more money with him and than anybody. But I've bought a few things at LMC and have always been satisfied. Same with Classic Parts of America.

Full disclosure: I live in Lenexa, KS and go to the counter at LMC or Classic Parts (both in suburbs of Kansas City) so I don't have to deal with shipping issues.

Re: LMC Truck sale, do they ever offer them?

I believe folks are trying to say that one stop shopping isn't the best idea for the most part. You should be concentrating on the best value. Some parts are the same across the board, like steel cowl induction hoods (poor quality all from the same manufacturer). Other things like rubber products have different manufacturers and you want to buy the quality brand. It is not simple or easy but the amount of time you spend searching for the quality parts will be paid back with parts that install correctly and last. I personally would rather avoid that frustration and spend time cruising the forum for information.
I can recommend Precision Rubber Products, rubber firewall plugs and body mount bushings from Classic Heartbeat, Moog suspension parts, NAPA precision chassis parts.

I had no problems with my Counterparts dash pad but many others were not satisfied.

I would not recommend KBY Gas A Just shocks, or aftermarket front fenders unless you had an easy way to return then without penalty.

Hi kcsa75,
Do you think your local guy who parts out the trucks would take phone or email requests to sell and ship parts to Texas? If so, could you post or PM me his name and number? There are a few odds and ends that I will probably be needing for my truck.
Thanks,
David

Brothers has been quite supportive whenever I receive a product that may have had any problem. They stepped up and replaced 'whatever' at their cost for product and shipping.

On a personal level, LMC is for parts reference and pictures.

For OER, so far I've used Classic Heartbeats. Picked up some nice stuff off Manes as well. Classic Parts has a good reputation.

Oregon........."P" is probably for precision. I hear good things about them as well.

Met up with LMC at MN Back to the 50s car show. They had just a meet and greet workforce no salesmen or specials. No orders being taken

Re: LMC Truck sale, do they ever offer them?

I buy a lot of parts from manes , they are a mom and pop store but everything always arrives packed well and pretty fast , they're customer service is top notch , they have even sent me a refund when the online shipping quote was more than the actual shipping charge . Who does that ?

Bought carpet from Manes, and a lot of stuff from Classic Industries with their discount, and LMC using their free shipping. Now Gonna sit back and wait. Door panels are on backorder for at least a month, bummer. Time for a Hamm's brewski.

Before marrying LMC, you might try board vendors (#1), the internet, ebay and so on. I've never found LMC to have good service or prices.
