Hey from Utah!
Hey just joined but I've lurked the site ever since I bought my 72 blazer 3 years ago when I was 19 and couldn't tell you what a distributor cap was or if my truck was HEI or points haha. Figured it was was high time I join, cause I got some problems that facebook groups can't answer LOL. First two pics are a couple days after I got it. Transmission went out a few months later so I got that replaced then got rid of the hard top cause it was thrashed. Now I got a soft topper with a roof rack build comin up soon as well. So far I've done a new engine both drive shafts, replaced rear blocks with lift springs (front springs are next) rebuilt front axle, added fitech fuel injection, northern radiator, and a Lincoln mark 8 single speed fan. Only mechanical things left to fix/rebuild are t-case and parking brakes and im going to get a 14 bolt SF at some point.. but have to work with the money I can put aside lol

Re: Hey from Utah!
Nice blazer bro. What's up with your rack ? Did you build it or buy it ? Saw it in another post. Congrats on the blazer purchase. And welcome to 67-72chevytrucks

Re: Hey from Utah!
Thanks! I was planning on building the whole rack from scratch, but got a deal on the basket then a friend of an in law bent some 1-1/2 tubing and welded it up for me you can see the mounting points for it in the pics above.
I went up in size to 35’s again with a full size spare that I threw up there but I’d like to build a spare tire mount on a custom rear bumper soon so I can sleep up there when I go camping |
