Quadrajet and A/C question

I have a K25 GMC 350 mouse motor with a qjet and A/C. When I turn on my A/C it drops the idle just a little, when I'm in park its no big deal, but when it is in gear it wants to die. I have been going through a lot of my old manuals and cant find what I'm looking for......So I think there is supposed to be a electromagnetic solenoid mounted to the carb that is activated when the A/C is turned on and bumps up the idle. Can anybody help me out, am I correct in my assumption? and does anybody have one?

Re: Quadrajet and A/C question

Yes, there is one. It attaches to the driver's side of the carb. I have one, but it's for my eventual AC retrofit.

Re: Quadrajet and A/C question

This is probably what you need. I recently got a used one from my carb rebuild guy and it works great.

Re: Quadrajet and A/C question

OK so I talked to the Summit tech and He gave me a different part and it is about double the price as the one you guys mentioned.https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-8059

It is pretty expensive and it doesn't have very good reviews. I am on the fence here because the ES110 doesn't have ANY reviews.

Re: Quadrajet and A/C question

That one states Edelbrock not Quadrajet. Need to check your carb, get number and search that number.

Re: Quadrajet and A/C question

Just found and bought a brand new ES110 on flea bay for less than half of Summits price.
