Question Can a long box bed floor be used on a shortbed box?

Can a longbed box floor be cut down to fit a shortbed box? If so how much work would it be? Is it even worth thinking about?

Not a big deal, I did mine (metal) just cut 12" off the front, then 8" from somewhere between the aft end and the wheel wells. If your interested, I think I have some pictures. There are some good posts on here on this if you do a search.

I would love to see some pics of this being done. I plan on new bed sides, so I am only conserned about the actual floor of the box. Somehow, I cannot understand how cutting some off the rear would work, as the end of the box under the tailgate has a panel that goes across. (something like a filler panel)
