Front end rebuild kits?
So last kit I got I purchased from a board member, one he wasn't using. I think it was all Moog (?). I have no idea where he came up with it.
Is getting a rebuild kit the best way to go? Or piece it together? Looking to rebuild the front end on a 72 C10. Prefer to use quality parts. Read some threads here where people have gotten the shaft. Non Moog parts in Moog boxes etc.

Re: Front end rebuild kits?
Moog was bought out be Federal Mogul, not sure about their ball joint and tie rod quality declining but the front hub I bought for my 4x4 F250 didn't last a month.....

Re: Front end rebuild kits?
Just looked under the truck & stuff is shot, so its rebuild time for me too. Curious as to other replies to your question. Found this http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com...packagedeal146 Opinions? Thanks

Re: Front end rebuild kits?
Amazon is the best deal. Just bought all new components last week.

Re: Front end rebuild kits?
Idler arm, pitman arm, upper/lower control arm shafts and bushings. That covers everything.

Re: Front end rebuild kits?
I pieced my front end together as well and rebuilt the ENTIRE thing with Moog parts. Some I picked up locally and others I picked up online. The one thing I bought that wasn't Moog, but made by Dorman, was the lower control arm shaft U-bolts. I upgraded to the grade 8, 9/16" U-bolts and got them from Summit Racing for 16 bucks for both sides.
The Moog ball joints were top quality. My truck is a 1972 GMC C15. Here is the thread post with the link to Summit Racing for the U-bolts. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...4&postcount=14 You might have to drill out the holes in the cross member just a tad to get them to fit, but they are a great upgrade. Mine fit through the holes without any drilling. Gary

Re: Front end rebuild kits?
Applications for the bolts only goes back to 1973. Think theyd work on 72 C10?

Re: Front end rebuild kits?
They are the same. They are bolted into my 1972 C15.
