What is this option??
There is a tilt on ebay and this picture was listed showing the tilt option. I was looking at it and saw FLOOR BOARD on the option sheet. WTF is that? My first thought was maybe High Hump, but nope. Any body know what this is? Wes

when i got my truck i was curious about that too...i thought it meant the removable high hump in the cab. i had assumed that all trucks prior to '73 had wood floors. d'oh! i wonder how long the wood floor option was available...i know it came on all stepsides and Longhorn beds, but how far into the 73-87 era did it go?

I had a 1980 1/2 ton diesel longbed with a wood floored bed. Personally, its the only '73-up I have ever seen with one.

It was put on trucks that were sent to AZ and other places outside of the rust belt. The option only was used after the truck was 20 or so years old. lol

The step side trucks always had a wooden bed floor...no steel option...all the way to 87.

really? hmmmmm.
it's an interesting concept to have a truck with a factory wood bed floor and factory fuel injection. they kept making the "old style"(R/V series) blazers, subs, and crewcabs through '91. but could you get the stepside bed on a crewcab? that would mean you could get the wood bed floor until '91. hmm.

low 84, can you show me a factory step side truck from 73 - 87 that has a stock steel floor in it?
I have always been told (from about 12 sources) they were not made...but I never paid much attention to the 73 -87 truck though. |
