How to reinforce a repop tailgate
decided to install a OER tailgate on fleet side pickup. looks ok, feels lighter though. am concerned about the inside getting dented or warping with use. anyone have ideas to reinforce the new tailgate before I paint it to match truck?

Re: How to reinforce a repop tailgate
Check the spot welds on the sides, that is where I usually see the old repop gates fail. I will tell you that the new LMC tailgates are a heavy beast. I am putting one on my blazer and it is twice as heavy as the original one. As far as the inside, are you going to line it or just paint?
