Exclamation 72 C20 to K20

Hi Im new to this site and I have a 72 c20 cheyenne with 30,000 original miles and 3700 on a rebuilt 350 and 3 speed auto tranny. This is my first vehicle and I love it but I really need a 4wd. I dont want to cut and ruin anything so I was wondering if its possible to convert it without any major fab work and make it as if it was a factory 72 K20. Maybe a donner truck of the same year? Also has rear bags and dont know if that will cause any other problems. I dont want a show truck but not a work truck either. This will be my everyday driver to highschool so i need relibility. As I said before I only want to do this if its possible to use original parts and if I must, rebuild them. Thanks and I hope this site will help me.

Re: 72 C20 to K20

welcome shorthorn...try putting this in the 67-72 section..youll get more views and opinions there....
but its going to require a good bit of fab work...if youve never done anything of this magnitude you may want to pass trying to install all the 4x stuff on a 2wd frame...if your determined to do it find a good 4x frame and do a body swap...or find a 4x driver and leave the c20 as is...
nothing against your skills or knowledge

when you say it has rear bags what are you referring to? is your rear suspension swing arm or leaf spring?....the k's had leafs
