Best Value Disc Brake Conversion
Summit Racing has it for $600 which includes 2.5" drop spindles. Is this a good product in your experience? Is there a substantially better option that I should explore?

Re: Best Value Disc Brake Conversion
Dog robbing a later model truck might be cheaper, but you have to pull the parts (at a pick-a-part place) and clean them up. But you wouldn't have drop spindles. I have no recommendation on this product, as I have never used it.

Re: Best Value Disc Brake Conversion
I just installed this kit, pretty straightforward. The only issue I had was with the inner-tie rod grease zerks being vertical and not 90 degrees (really hard to get a grease gun on). It looks like a nice kit, performance pending.
Swapping from front drums, I also had to purchase a proportioning valve, master cylinder and front brake lines. Knowing that, and the additional costs, I would re-consider buying the complete ECE kit.

"Buy Once, Cry Once." I am super cheap when it comes to parts, but I want to save money is what I mean by being cheap. And long term, my conclusion was the ECE complete kit was worth the money so that's what's on my '69 short step.

Re: Best Value Disc Brake Conversion
I put the ECE complete kit on my truck a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier.
