Please Help I.D. This Rear End

I'm looking for a rear end for my son's '73 and I found this on craigs. It's a 10 bolt rear but I since I'm unfamiliar with these rear ends I need help answering three things,

1. Will this rear end bolt directly up to the C10?
2. Is this a 8.5" rear end?
3. Do I need to be worried about the surface rust on the posi and gears

Here's the ad: https://sacramento.craigslist.org/pt...414892694.html

I also found this one, has the posi and is a 12 bolt but its out in the sticks. May be worth the drive but I would have to convert the 6 lug to 5, is this doable?

As for the first one - no. It looks like a 7.5 inch 10 boot out of a G Body. It is a cool sprung rear. The second one, I’m not sure. May want to check junkyards.

I appreciate you confirming. I just found a good website that said it's a no go as well. The second one looks like it may work, I'm still digging to confirm.

2nd axle has gov-loc rear option . not a true posi . its open diff till the fly weight spins from a wheel going faster than the other and locks in the clutch pack .

as said the 1st is a car 10 bolt .

Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't see the typical springs and wondered what this design was. I guess the important question is will it hook up both tires when launching ?
