72 body molding-trim dimensions?
I'm working on a custom project and need some help. I'm looking for the height of the lower trim and upper trim on a 70-72 chevy. I believe the lower is 3" tall, but I can't find where I saw that. Ideally if someone could put a tape or ruler next to a piece of upper and lower it would awesome. Doesn't matter if it's black/chrome or woodgrain. Length doesn't matter as they'll all have be cut once i get them anyway.
I just hate to order a whole new set only to find out it won't work based on height )-: Thanks! |

Re: 72 body molding-trim dimensions?
I asked he same question when I was restoring my truck. I'll see if I can find the old thread. Also I'll measure later.
I'm pretty sure the Lower molding is 4 or 4 1/4" tall Upper is about 1 1/4". I'll verify. I bought original replacement anodized aluminum moldings. Pricy but looks great in my opinion What are you looking to use that needs cut? Roll of the plastic peel and stick stuff? I considered these3 links but decided against it. They are smaller for lower trim http://www.trim-gard.com/bodysidemoldings.html https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...t4802c/2519129 https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...t4802c/2519129

Thanks for the responses! You guys are great. I am actually working on a, well we will call it a tribute truck. I'll post pictures soon. Hopefully it will do these beautiful old trucks justice. Thanks again!
