Re: Zinc additives , Here's a sale for you

I’ve been searching down here for a can, nobody carries it.

I wanted one for my Shell collection, yes I work for Shell and can’t get one. Lol. Ironic isn’t it.

Anyone wanna sell me one?

Re: Zinc additives , Here's a sale for you

Thanks for the heads up, Grumpy.
I bought 2 quarts of Oil Stabilizer at .97 cents each at my local A/Z. They were out of the zinc additive, but the store guy called around for me. No luck, though.
So what do I use oil stabilizer for anyway?
He also said Rotella SAE 30 still had the right amount of ZDDP. I said I didn't know Rotella came in straight weights, I thought it was all 15W-40 but there was a couple gallon jugs of 30 weight on his shelf.
So is it true that Rotella straight weight oil still has sufficient amounts of ZDDP for our pre-catalytic/hydraulic cam purposes?

Re: Zinc additives , Here's a sale for you

Grumpy, thats not gear oil, its oil stabilizer(black bottles). Only the "additive" section had clearance. I did score 150 quarts of oil two years ago for $1/quart when they closed out some items at end of year.
