Re: 60 GMC Porterbuilt

Well I just checked out your whole album... you've got your work cut out for you with all that rust! Nice to see another Alberta truck.

Re: 60 GMC Porterbuilt

These trucks are hard to Find in good shape, up here anyway. All the panels are there to fix the floor. I couldn't pass it up as its a 60 (dads birth year) and I have soft spot for the Hood design on the earlier 60s

Cool build you have going there. Looking forward to seeing more. I agree, very hard to find one of these trucks in decent shape around here.

Re: 60 GMC Porterbuilt

is that your plan under the hood to fab up your own with the sheet metal or are you buying a kit? I like the style of inner fenders but cant swing $1200 set from delmos. this is my first build but been fabricating on race cars for many years.

Re: 60 GMC Porterbuilt

I am going to try to make my own. I purchased a bead roller with the dies and the dimples to see if I can come up with something. Delmos is expensive but I have seen a set first hand and the quality is there for sure.

Good luck! I'm close by in Calgary, if you ever need a hand, or need a peanut gallery to hand wrenches and drink beer, let me know!
