has anyone had their truckdoor not open???
If so, (this happend to me)
you can losen the bolts to the strikerplate, all you have to do is take the seat out. and loosen it up (you HAVE to use Visegrips) after you get the 4 bolts loose go to the outside of the truck and use a "SKINNY" screwdriver and a hammer to tap it up (i think, its been awhile though, i think its up though) then mess with it till it opens. I know i would of loved it if someone had made a post of this when it happend to me. i think some truck parts dealer reccomended it. i forgot who he is but hes a Geneous. I WANTED TO HELP SOMEONE OUT IF THIS HAPPEND TO THEM

when my door stopped opening, I had to completely disassemble it (the door, not the truck). Had to get the door panel off, which means getting the armrests and the annoying clips on the door handle and window crank off. then i had to totally remove the mechanism that is bolted to the inside of the door. i guess the mechanism just fell apart, due to a large rivet becoming loose, and some of the small pieces falling down inside the door. well, i had to get all the pieces out, then figure out how to put them back together, then hammer the sh*t outta the rivet so it would stay in place. then bolted it all back together, but the longest time was spent attaching the clips to the rods that the door lock and door handle attach to. what a PITA, lemme tell you. then put the door panel back on, then spent 15 minutes getting the armrest back on . sprayed some lube on and in it, and bada bing....good as new.
